Rick Jacobs, principle of Jacobs, et al, LLC, started in the early 1990s as a firearms instructor, range master, and firearms salesman. He worked at a law enforcement supply store as a second job while a freelance creative director.
He was hired to teach graphic and web design, and software applications at Utah Career College, based on his portfolio and reputation of developing perfect files. All of this led Rick into the Learning and Development industry.
After 10 years in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff and instructor, and three years developing training for the military, Rick discovered his passion for training and mentoring others into the Learning and Development industry.
Since then, he has developed a wealth of experience and background in Learning and Development as an instructional designer in several industries and as adjunct faculty at several community colleges and universities.
He brings his experiences and techniques from different industries and applies them to all he does, creating some very effective and successful training programs, as well as helping organizations develop compelling hiring and training practices.
